About District 10!

CPRS is organized
geographically into regions, districts and by special interest
sections. Each district and section is governed by CPRS members
who provide local and/or specialized training programs and
networking opportunities at the community level.

District 10 is
comprised of 60 agencies including two Universities located
within Orange and
Los Angeles counties (Guide
to Agencies ). Consistent with
the mission, goals and objectives of the California Parks &
Recreation Society Society, the District 10 Board of Directors is
committed to the following goals:
1. Educate and train members about the importance of promoting
parks
and recreation.
2. Provide convenient and relevant member trainings.
3. Support and collaborate with students to promote their
success.
4. Ensure members are informed and prepared to take action on
legislative issues.
5. Ensure effective communication to all members.
6. Ensure that District 10 reaches out to members in a welcoming
manner in order to bring more members into leadership
positions.
